This funding covers a range of improvements, including central heating, air source heat pumps, solar, and insulation. To be eligible, a homeowner’s income needs to be below £30,000/year (or £42,000/year inside the M25 of London), AFTER paying their mortgage. Additionally, their property must be rated E, F, or G on their Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). This opens up a massive market of potential clients. For landlords, any property rated E, F or G and a tenant in receipt of any kind of means-tested benefits is eligible for funding which can dramatically, and permanently, improve the energy-efficiency of the property.
