About Committed Capital

Committed Capital are growth stage venture capital and EIS investment specialists. We have been investing for more than two decades in the UK’s most promising high growth technology companies. Our investee companies typically have excellent technical solutions to pressing issues in a substantial addressable market. Applying these solutions systematically gives our companies a high probability of rapid growth and a successful exit.
Our mission is to support post-revenue (over £1m) growth stage investee companies through applying and sharing the expertise our team has of founding, building, internationalising, and exiting companies. Investee companies must have multiple client contracts in place, a solid pipeline of sales, proven management and a robust and demonstratable growth strategy.
For investors, we offer an opportunity to invest in a portfolio of actively managed growth stage technology companies, whilst benefitting from potential tax reliefs under the Enterprise Investment Scheme.
For investee companies, we work with them by committing capital to provide growth funding and actively supporting them in areas such as corporate governance, marketing and sales strategies, financial modelling, and making strategic B2B introductions.
For financial advisers, we provide both technical and product training and provide guidance on complex tax scenarios where required. We also believe in transparency in everything we do and are happy to share our investee company due diligence, and were one of the first signatories to the EIS Association fee transparency initiative.
Track Record
We have one of the leading EIS exit track records in the industry. Since 2001 we have achieved an average 2.6 x ROI (excluding tax reliefs) for investors, and have invested in 36 EIS qualifying investee companies, and made 24 exits. Out of these 24 exits, 21 have been profitable, just 1 has made a loss, and 2 have made a partial loss.
The performance of our Growth EIS fund (launched Dec 2014) has achieved an average 3x ROI (excluding any tax reliefs) and a 36.8% IRR for investors. To date, the fund has invested in 18 companies, made 5 profitable exits, and 2 small losses. This is in line with the Fund’s target of 2-3x ROI (excluding any tax reliefs) and well ahead of the target 25% IRR.

Committed Capital Growth EIS Portfolio Service
The 5 Star and 5 Diamond Defaqto rated Committed Capital Growth EIS Portfolio Service is structured with flexibility in mind to accommodate different investor circumstances and requirements. An investor can invest on a discretionary basis, or instruct when monies should be invested by, or they can self-select.
Deployment - On a discretionary basis, we aim to ensure that an investor’s Portfolio is invested within c.6-12 months and includes 8-10 companies, and that no single company investment at cost accounts for more than 10-15% of their Portfolio initially. Where an investor prefers, we can accelerate investment by investing potentially in a more concentrated portfolio to meet certain investment requirements or tax deadlines, i.e., tax year end for carry back, or time sensitive CGT deferral cases.
EIS 3 Certificates – After an investment has been made investors receive an EIS3 certificate for each company to allow them to claim tax relief. Over the last 12 months the average time between investment in underlying companies and receipt of EIS3 certificates has been 48 days.

Committed Capital Knowledge-Intensive EIS Portfolio Service III
We offer HMRC Approved Knowledge-Intensive EIS Funds twice a year. The first runs from 6th April to 30th September with full deployment targeted by 31st December, and the second runs from 1st October to 5th April with full deployment targeted by 4th July.
Quick Deployment - Our 5 Star and 5 Diamond Defaqto rated Committed Capital Knowledge-Intensive EIS Portfolio Service III, will invest into 6-8 companies within just 3 months of the close date of the fund.
EIS 5 Certificate – Knowledge-Intensive EIS Funds are administratively much simpler than regular EIS Funds. Rather than receiving EIS3 certificates for each company invested in, investors receive a single EIS5 certificate with details of each company they hold shares in to allow them to claim tax relief. Investors can expect to receive this within c.6 months of the fund close date.
